ISGET 2025 Day 2: Exploring Electric Vehicles, Battery Innovation, and Blockchain in Energy
Jakarta, 19 September 2025, The second day of ISGET 2025 expanded the conversation by diving deeper into the technologies and innovations driving the future of global energy systems. While Day 1 focused on building foundational knowledge, Day 2 provided participants with forward-looking insights into disruptive technologies such as electric vehicles (EVs), energy storage, and blockchain, each a key enabler in achieving sustainable and decentralized energy ecosystems.
The morning began with a powerful session on Electric Vehicles: Policy, Roadmap & Business Models presented by Anand Singh (ISGF) and Okto Fenno (PJCI). This session explored not only the technical aspects of EV development but also the importance of stakeholder collaboration across industries, governments, and consumers. Participants learned how robust policies and innovative business models are critical to accelerating EV adoption in Indonesia.
Following this, Anand Singh (ISGF) delivered an insightful presentation on Battery Technology and Global Trends, showcasing the latest innovations in energy storage that are reshaping electricity systems worldwide. From lithium-ion breakthroughs to next-generation solid-state batteries, the session highlighted how these technologies can reduce costs, enhance efficiency, and enable large-scale renewable integration.
In the afternoon, the focus shifted to Charging Standards and Protocols, covering CCS, CHAdeMO, and advanced concepts like Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) and Vehicle-to-Home (V2H). These discussions emphasized how EVs can evolve from being just consumers of electricity to becoming active participants in grid stability.
The day concluded with one of the most forward-thinking topics of the event: Blockchain in Energy. Once again led by Anand Singh (ISGF), this session explored practical use cases, including peer-to-peer energy trading, carbon credit markets, and decentralized data management. Participants also critically examined both the opportunities and risks of adopting blockchain, making the session one of the most interactive of the day.
By the end of Day 2, participants not only deepened their knowledge but also developed a futuristic vision of how Indonesia could adopt and adapt these technologies to strengthen its energy transition. The dayโs discussions reinforced the importance of being proactive, innovative, and collaborative in shaping the smart energy systems of tomorrow.
