Held at JIEXPO Kemayoran, Jakarta, Day 1 marked not only the beginning of a three days intensive program but also a historic milestone as the first international smart grid training ever conducted in Indonesia.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The program was jointly organized by the Indonesia Smart Grid Association (PJCI), the Human Resource Development Center for Electricity, New and Renewable Energy, and Energy Conservation (PPSDM KEBTKE) under the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, and the India Smart Grid Forum (ISGF). This strategic collaboration reflects Indonesia\u2019s determination to accelerate the adoption of smart grids while simultaneously developing highly skilled professionals capable of leading the nation\u2019s energy transition.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Day 1 of ISGET 2025 was structured to build a strong knowledge foundation by introducing participants to the essential concepts, technologies, and global best practices that define modern smart grid systems.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The sessions unfolded as follows:<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Overview of Smart Grid &amp; Cyber Security<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by Dr. Faruk Kazi (ISGF) and Kevin Marojahan B. (PJCI) provided participants with a critical understanding of how digitalization and security intersect in the energy sector. With the growing reliance on interconnected systems, cyber resilience was highlighted as a core pillar of smart grid adoption.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Distributed Energy Resources (DER)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by Waluyo Jati (PPSDM) and Ricky Andrian (PJCI) explored the integration of decentralized energy solutions such as solar, wind, and microgrids, positioning them as game changers in achieving energy independence and sustainability.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS): Function, Capacity, and Implementation<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by Anand Singh (ISGF) and Todo Hotma Tua Simartama (PPSDM) delivered valuable insights into how storage technologies stabilize grids, balance demand, and ensure reliability in renewable-based systems.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI): Smart Meters and Data Analytics<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by Gaurav Arora (ISGF) explained how digital metering not only improves billing accuracy but also provides critical data to optimize energy consumption and empower consumers.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Throughout the sessions, participants engaged in active discussions and knowledge exchange, underscoring the collaborative spirit of the training.
